We look at the plaster’s condition and the history of the damage before defining the repair. The quote includes the agreed preparation and repaint area, with unstable or recurring problems identified first.

Your questions, answered.

Can you repair a cracked plaster wall without replacing it all?

Often, yes, when the surrounding plaster is sound. Local repairs can address suitable surface cracks and damaged areas. We check for loose or unstable sections before quoting because a finish repair needs a secure base; not every old wall needs the same treatment.

Will a repaired crack return?

It can if movement or moisture continues underneath. Tell us whether the crack is new, changing or previously repaired. We explain the cosmetic repair we can provide and flag conditions that need further attention before promising a lasting painted finish.

Can you repair plaster ceilings?

Suitable localized ceiling damage can be assessed with the repaint. Loose, sagging or extensively damaged plaster needs particular attention and may be outside a small repair scope. Send a wide view and close-ups so we can determine the next step for a site review.

Will the repaired area match the wall texture?

We aim to blend the repaired area with the existing surface, but older plaster and texture can vary. We discuss the expected finish before starting. A broader skim or repaint area may be more appropriate than a tiny local patch if the difference would otherwise remain visible.

Can you paint as soon as the patch is filled?

The repair material needs to dry and be ready for the next stage. We plan the finishing, primer and paint around that requirement instead of covering a damp repair. The schedule depends on the repair depth, products and room conditions.

Do I need a separate painter afterwards?

No, repair and painting can be quoted together. We define the repaired areas and how much of the surrounding wall or ceiling will be repainted. That helps you compare a local touch-up with a full-surface finish and know what is included from the start.
