A colour decision that starts with the masonry.

We check the masonry and any moisture concerns first, then discuss suitable preparation, coatings and your colour choices.

See the preparation and scope

We review whether the proposed surface is appropriate for painting and identify moisture or material defects before coating. Bare masonry, previously painted walls and different masonry products need different preparation decisions.

Existing painted masonry

Review the coating's condition and the preparation needed for repainting.

Unpainted surfaces

Assess the particular substrate and proposed finish before confirming suitability.

Your questions, answered.

Can brick be painted?

Some brick surfaces can be painted with appropriate preparation and a compatible masonry coating. We assess the particular wall before recommending it. Painting changes the appearance and future maintenance of the masonry, so the material and condition matter as much as the colour.

Can painted brick return to its original look?

Removing paint from masonry can be difficult and may not restore the original appearance. If you want to preserve an unpainted look, discuss that before deciding to coat bare brick. We do not present painting as an easily reversible colour change.

Will paint hide damaged bricks or crumbling mortar?

No. Deteriorated masonry and joints need suitable repair first. A coating can change colour but cannot rebuild a weak surface. We identify visible issues and clarify which work must be completed before the painting stage can proceed.

What are the white marks on my masonry?

White deposits can be related to salts and moisture moving through the masonry. They need assessment and appropriate preparation rather than simply being painted over. Tell us whether the marks return after cleaning or occur near leaks so the cause can be considered.

Can you repaint masonry that already has paint on it?

Often, when the existing coating and substrate can be prepared to a sound condition. Loose paint, dampness and adhesion problems need attention first. We review those areas and specify a compatible coating approach for the agreed surface.

Do you also offer limewash, stain or fireplace coatings?

Those are different finishes or applications and should not be assumed to be included in a masonry-painting quote. Send the surface and the look you want. We will confirm whether that particular scope is available and suitable before proposing the work.
