Your questions, answered.

Can you paint the ceiling without repainting the walls?

Yes. A ceiling-only project can be planned with the walls protected and the edges carefully finished. Send a view of the whole room so we can review access and the ceiling-to-wall junction. Any wall touch-ups or repainting you want should be listed separately.

Can you cover an old water stain?

Yes, after the leak is fixed and the ceiling is dry and sound. We assess whether the area needs repair and stain-blocking preparation before painting. Coating over an active leak or damaged board will not resolve the underlying problem.

Do repaired ceiling patches need primer?

Repairs generally need appropriate primer before the finish coats so the patched area does not absorb paint differently. We plan this with the repaint. A full ceiling coat may give a more consistent appearance than painting only the patch, especially under strong side lighting.

Can a ceiling be painted a colour other than white?

Yes. You can choose a colour that works with the room, subject to the surface and product requirements. We confirm the colour and sheen before starting. A sample is useful because overhead light and the wall colours can change how the shade appears.

Can you paint a textured ceiling?

Suitable, sound texture can often be repainted. We review its condition and any concerns about the material before preparation or disturbance. Painting retains the texture; if you want it removed or smoothed, that needs a separate scope.

How do you protect furniture and light fittings?

We agree on furniture moving and protection before the work starts. The crew protects the surfaces around the painting area and confirms how fixtures will be handled. Delicate items should be cleared as discussed, and any electrical removal needs an appropriate arrangement.
