Give the entrance and edges some attention.

A fresh entry colour or carefully finished trim can make a visible change. We confirm the details and surfaces included.

See the preparation and scope

You do not need to repaint the entire house to make a visible change. An entry colour, refreshed window trim or cleanly finished fascia can bring the exterior details together.

We confirm the material, preparation and surfaces you want included. Door faces, frames, sidelights and exterior trim are listed clearly, along with the access and drying arrangements for the work.

Illustrative examples to help you plan your project.

A tired door to a confident colour.

The starting point: The entry works well but the finish looks worn.

What we can do: We prepare the door for a compatible coating, protect the surrounding details and confirm the faces and edges included.

Dark trim to a lighter finish.

The starting point: Heavy trim colour makes the exterior feel darker than you want.

What we can do: We plan the preparation, primer and coats needed for coverage, with the material and surrounding colours in mind.

Door, frame and sidelights together.

The starting point: The door colour has changed over time but nearby details have not.

What we can do: We specify each surface and colour so the entry has an intentional, coordinated finish.

Share your plansSend photos or arrange a site visit.

Send a few photos of the door, frame, exterior trim, peeling areas and any damaged wood, with one wider view of the entrance. Tell us the result you want, or schedule a site visit so we can review the project with you.

We review the condition, talk through your options and prepare a quote that explains the work.

Confirm the detailsYour colour, scope, access and date.

Before you approve the work, we make sure the details are clear:

  • Colour: your chosen colours, finishes and where each will be used.
  • Scope: preparation, approved repairs and the exact surfaces included.
  • Access: gates, planting, furniture and the route to each work area.
  • Date: the planned start and how weather changes will be handled.

Ask questions and make any changes before we begin, so we are all working toward the same result.

Review the finished workA walkthrough and a little thank-you.

Walk through the finished work with your site lead or crew. We review the agreed surfaces together, listen to your feedback and take care of the touch-ups needed to complete the job.

We explain when you can use the finished surfaces normally and how to care for them. We want you to feel happy with the result before we wrap up.

A little thank-you, too. You will receive a gift basket as our way of saying thank you for trusting us with your project.

Your questions, answered.

Can you paint just my front door?

Yes, a front door can be the focus of a project. Send a photo of the door and surrounding frame so we can quote the actual scope and confirm scheduling. You can also include sidelights or trim if you want the whole entrance refreshed together.

Can a black door or dark trim become a light colour?

Yes. With suitable preparation, primer and enough finish coats, a dark painted surface can become a lighter colour. We allow for the colour change in the quote. The material and existing finish determine the coating system we use.

Do you paint wood, metal and fibreglass doors?

These can often be repainted, using preparation and products appropriate to the material and existing finish. Factory finishes and manufacturer colour restrictions need to be considered. A close-up photo and any product information help us confirm the approach before work starts.

Will I be able to close and lock the door?

We plan access and drying with you before painting. Fresh paint needs enough time before it contacts seals or other painted surfaces. We explain how the door will be managed during the work and when it can be closed normally, using the requirements of the chosen finish.

Are the frame, inside face and hardware included?

We list the surfaces and hardware arrangements in your quote. The exterior face alone is different from both faces, the frame and nearby trim. We also agree whether hardware is protected or removed and who is responsible for any replacement fittings.

Can you paint over peeling or rotten trim?

Peeling paint needs preparation; rotten wood needs repair or replacement. We remove loose coating as specified and identify unsound areas before finishing. Any repair work or other trade involvement is agreed with you first, so fresh paint is applied to a suitable base.

Let’s take a look.

Send us a few photos. We’ll help you choose the right approach.
